Patten, Maine: We seek an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a very well established and financially secure rural health center (FQHC), now in its fourth decade of operation. In addition to primary care, this respected organization provides dental care, mental health care, physical therapy, and chiropractic services.

We offer a rewarding outpatient-only family practice caring for patients of all ages – many of whom are uninsured or underinsured – along with some walk-in/urgent care. Your panel will be weighted toward geriatrics more than pediatrics. You should have at least three years of advance practice experience in primary care so you will be prepared to practice independently from the start. Certification in CPR and ACLS are required.

This full time position comes with a terrific weekday schedule - with no nights, no weekends, no holidays. You will enjoy practicing in a modern facility with state of the art technology and electronic medical records – to become part of an experienced, collaborative team focused on providing the best possible patient care.

We are offering

  • Friendly, collaborative and rewarding family practice
  • Interesting mix seeing patients of all ages, weighted toward geriatrics
  • Terrific weekday schedule – no nights, no weekends, no holidays!
  • Choose from a 4 or 5 day/week schedule
  • Paid relocation to beautiful Maine
  • Competitive salary based on your experience
  • Liability, health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance
  • 3 weeks of paid time off for vacations (FOUR WEEKS in year two!)
  • 10 paid holidays
  • Paid leave plus a budget for your CME
  • Participation in a retirement plan WITH employer contributions!
  • Tax-free NHSC Federal Student Loan assistance!
  • Immense job satisfaction caring for many underserved patients!
